NSS – National Service Scheme

The NSS offers various programmes to inculcate responsibility among the students through social services and mould them to be disciplined citizens throughout their life. Two units of NSS comprising hundred students conduct numerous activities like Blood Donation, Tree Plantation, International Yoga Day, Swatch Pakwara and Health Camp. The NSS units have adopted an Adi Dravidar School at Anna Nagar.

Objectives

  • Develop a sense of social and civic responsibility among the students
  • Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving
  • Utilise their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems

Outcomes

  • NSS disciplines the students to understand the ground realities of life and work in a team.
  • It improves students’ time management skills and their leadership qualities.
